Funeral services were pending at press time Wednesday for James A. Chiles, 75 year old native of Pottsboro, who died in a local hospital Tuesday evening after seven years of illness.  He had been in the hospital one day.  Bratcher-Moore is in charge of services.
Chiles was born in Pottsboro November 25, 1879, the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Chiles.  He received his education in Pottsboro schools and was married there in 1902 to Lillian Looney.  He was a stockman and a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Chiles, Pottsboro; a son, Bill J. Chiles, Pottsboro and three sisters, Mrs. Mary McAdams, Mrs. Eugenia Mayes and Miss Amy Chiles, all of Dallas.
