Patsy Workman of Whitesboro, 70 year-old retired employee for Grayson Bank, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, Feb. 9, 2009 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009 at the Georgetown Baptist Church north of Pottsboro. Rev. Billy Viars will officiate and the burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Patsy was born May 29, 1938 in Odessa, the daughter of Jesse H. Williams and Ona May Bellew Williams. She attended schools in Houston and graduated from Reagan High School in 1956. She then attended a college in Fort Worth and married Maurice Workman Sept. 16, 1960 in Perryton. They moved to Sherman in 1960 and she started a 21 year career with Grayson Bank in 1961 where she served as vice-president in the note department.
Following her retirement from the bank, she worked as the human resource director for TAPS public transportation, and then was the office and business manager for Sullivan Sales in Sherman. Patsy then worked with her husband in the family cattle business, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, painting (primarily oil-base painting), cooking for family and friends, and working with cattle.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice Workman of Whitesboro; son, Jeremy Workman of Whitesboro; brother, Robert Williams of Weatherford; son-in-law, Mike Cleveland and grandchildren, Dylan and Dalton Cleveland, all of Pottsboro; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jessica Ann Cleveland.
Pallbearers will be Jack Boston, Scott Galyon, Paul Perry, Bob Schnitker, Corgie Fisher and Dennis Schock.
The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. Wednesday at Waldo Funeral Home.
