POTTSBORO - Services for Tommie E. Squyres, 72-year-old Pottsboro resident, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 24 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel with Rev. Billy Viers officiating. Mrs. Squyres passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Texoma Specialty Care.   Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery.
Mrs. Squyres was born on July 15, 1938 in Kopperl, daughter of Tom and Avis Pearl Caughron Sinclair. She was a graduate of Garland High School and attended beauty school in Dallas.   She married Samuel Squyres on August 12, 1971 in Richmond. She was a beauty operator and owned the Cove Restaurant in Pottsboro. For many years, she was a dispatcher at Preston Volunteer Fire Department in Pottsboro. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mathis.
Pallbearers will be members of the Preston Volunteer Fire Department.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Squyres of Pottsboro; daughter, KiLetha and husband, Robert Walker Jr. of Pottsboro; stepdaughter, Sylvia Patton and husband, Kenneth of Simonton; stepson, Sammy Squyres of Simonton; brother, Sammy Jack Sinclair of Bonham; sister, Bobbie Jackson and husband, Dewey of Denison; grandchildren, Heather Talbot and Bo Britt of Pottsboro, Rocky Carpenter and wife, Stephanie of Sherman, Sam and Lee Patton, and Christopher Squyres of Simonton; and great-grandchildren, Bryce, Christopher, Brooklyn, Parker, Seth, Morgan, Michael, Parks, Ginger Lee and Chris.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nona Armstrong.
An invitation is extended to her friends and neighbors to join her family after her burial on Sunday to celebrate her life at Preston Volunteer Emergency Service located at North Highway 289 in Pottsboro.
Visitation was at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.
The family suggests memorials to Preston Volunteer Emergency Services, P.O. Box 518, Pottsboro, Texas 75076.
