Denison - Felix Edgar Steele, Jr., 65, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his home in Denison.
Mr. Steele was born January 12, 1947 in Denison, Texas, the son of Felix Edgar and Bessie Louise (Davis) Steele, Sr.  He married the love of his life, Millie Shindler on December 3, 2003 in Denison, Texas.  Felix enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing with his grandchildren.  He worked for many years as a caregiver for Quality Home Health.
Mr. Steele is survived by by his family: wife, Millie Steele of Denison, Texas; stepdaughters, Belinda Wilson and husband, Sherman, of Denison; and Wanda Hurzarski and husband, Jerry, of Tennessee; and stepsons, Brian Wilson and wife Denise of Denison and Tim Wilson of Denison; three grandchildren, Sherman, Jessica, and Corey; brothers, Shelby Steele and wife, Kathleen, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Jimmey Steele and wife, Vicki, of Texas; sisters, Joanne Balser of Indiana, Mary Haugland of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Betty Brockunier and husband, Bill, of Tontitown, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Jones and husband, Fred; and brother, Charles Steele.


With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Millie Mae Steele, 69, on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Denison, Texas.
Millie was born September 23, 1953 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Odus Shindler and Lorena Beshears Shindler.
May years ago, she worked at Carl's Cafe and Arlene's Katfish, before she found her true career. She was a caregiver by nature and worked at Quality Home Health Care, doing what she loved, caring for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Thomas and James Shindler.
She leaves her beloved family: daughter, Belinda Wilson and husband, Sherman, of Denison, Texas; grandchildren: Jessica Wilson; Sherman Wayne Wilson; and Corey Wilson; adopted son, Brian Wilson; adopted daughter, Sandra Rolen; sisters, Linda Springs and husband, Larry, of Whitesboro, Texas; Lue Mosteller and husband, Gary, of Brazil, Indiana; brother, Glenn Shindler and wife, Beverly, of Mustang, Oklahoma; and many other family members that will truly miss her presence.
Graveside service was held in her honor Thursday afternoon, May 18, 2023 at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas with Pastor James Moore officiating.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas.
