Robert Dean "Bob" McAlister

Pottsboro-Funeral for Robert Dean "Bob" McAlister, 48, of Pottsboro, who died of Monday, will be at 10 am Thursday in the Pottsboro Church of Christ, with Robert Scholl officiating, assisted by Robert Howard. Burial will be in the Georgetown Cemetery under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
McAlister was born Oct. 27, 1942, in Denison, son of Clarence A. and Frankie McAlister. He married Sandra Schiflett Feb. 20, 1981, in Colbert. He was an employee of Grayson County Precinct 4, and was a member of the Pottsboro Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of Pottsboro; his mother, Frankie McAlister fo Denison; a son, Robert Bruce of Denison; a stepson Eddie Johnson of Sherman; daughter Jada Flores of Sherman; step-daughter Cynthia Johnson of Fort Worth; a brother, Mike of Denison; two sisters, Donna McAlister and Rena Bowman both of Denison.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7 pm Wednesday.

POTTSBORO -- Funeral services for Sandra L. McAlister, 68, of Pottsboro, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, in Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel. The Rev. Billy H. Combest will officiate, and burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
She died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, in Wilson N. Jones Medical Center.
Mrs. McAlister was born March 8, 1940, in Denison, the daughter of Bill and Dorthy Barnhill Schiflett. She graduated from Denison High School in 1958.
Mrs. McAlister was a homemaker and a member of the Pottsboro Church of Christ, Order of the Eastern Star and Gate City Chapter No. 77 in Denison.
Surviving are her son, Eddie Johnson of Callisburg; brother, Larry Schiflett of Waco; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Cindy Johnson.
Pallbearers will be James Simmons, James Shelton, J.R. Stephens, Harold Franks, Bob Berry and Daniel Caldwell.
Viewing will be at Johnson-Moore in Denison from noon until 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time at the Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel in Pottsboro on Monday.
