  J.R. Pearson 27 January 1925 - 2 May 2011 Dorothy E. Pearson 16 February 1926 - 22 December 2010 wed 10 January 1947  Herald Democrat December 24, 2010 POTTSBORO - Dorothy E. Pearson, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ in Sherman at age 84. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 24 at the Pottsboro Church of Christ with Gregg Knight and Bob Sholl officiating. Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery. Mrs. Pearson was born on February 16, 1926 in Bells, daughter of William and Katie Pugh. She married J.R. Pearson on Jan. 10, 1947. She was a homemaker most of her life. In her younger years, she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and the State National Bank in Denison. She had been a member of the Pottsboro Church of Christ since 1950. Her sweet gentle smile made her loved by everyone she came in contact with. She loved to fix meals for everyone that came to her home and enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. Pallbearers will be Jacob Pearson, Rocky Harlow, Gary Hayes, Blair Kent, Louis Lashley, Brandon Kent and Brian Kent. Surviving are her husband, J.R. Pearson of Pottsboro; son, Charles R. Pearson of Pottsboro; daughter, Brenda K. Lashley and her husband, Louis of Pottsboro; sisters, Ann Sattari, Margaret Ross and her husband, Ray, Frances Robertson and husband Fred, all of California; grandson, Jacob Ray Pearson and wife Jessie of Denison; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Brittani Cathey of Sherman and Avery Pearson of Denison; sisters-in-law, Ladora Pearson, Bernice Pearson, Arlene Joines, Fran Winfrey and Bobbie Baldwin; and brother-in-law Paul Pearson. Pearson, 86, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 5 at Pottsboro Church of Christ, with David Hamrick and Ralph Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rocky Harlow, Gary Hayes, Carl Kent, Frank Winfrey, Delbert Clountz, and Jim Pearson. The honorary pallbearer will be Bob Pearson. Mr. Pearson was born January 27, 1925 in Pottsboro to Sam and Bertha McGregor Pearson. He married Dorothy Pugh on January 10, 1947. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2010. He was a long time member of the Pottsboro Church of Christ and a Carpenter all his life. Mr. Pearson is survived by son Charles Ray Pearson of Pottsboro; daughter Brenda Kay Lashley and husband Louis of Pottsboro; brother Paul Pearson of Del City, Okla.; sisters Arlene Joines of Denison, Fran Winfrey and husband Frank of Denison, Bobbie Baldwin and husband Ralph of Denison; grandson, Jacob Ray Pearson and wife Jessie of Denison; great-grandchildren Avery Pearson of Denison, Brittani and Caleb Cathey of Sherman; sisters-in-law Bernice Pearson of Waxahachie, Ladora Pearson of Pottsboro, Ann Sattari, Margaret Ross and husband Ray, Frances Robinson and husband Fred all of California. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy and two brothers Owen and Sam Pearson.
