Pottsboro - Funeral for Georgia Lillian Cook, 82, of Pottsboro, who died October 27, 1993 [sic] in Texoma Medical Center, was held Wednesday in Johnson-Moore Funeral Home, Denison with Rev. Hugh Davis officiating.  Burial was in Georgetown Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Doug Wilson, J.N. Taylor, Burt Brymer, and Wayne Little.
Miss Cook was born December 19, 1910, daughter of J.L. and Vernie Fort Cook.  She was a clerk for Waldo Lowe Grocery in Denison for over 40 years and a member of Pottsboro United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a sister, Marjorie J. Carder, of Pottsboro.

Pottsboro - Funeral services for Mrs. Vernie Cook, 83, of Pottsboro who died Tuesday at 3 p.m. at a local hospital, will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.at the Johnson-Moore Funeral chapel, Rev. C.J. Graves will officiate.  Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
Mrs. Cook was born in Paris, Ark., June 3, 1885, and had lived in Pottsboro since 1916.  She married Jessie L. Cook March 5, 1905.  He died April 16, 1964.
Survivors are two sons, R...of Denison and Alvin of Pottsboro; two daughters, Misses Lillian and Marjorie Cook, Pottsboro; a sister, Mrs. Zula Bailey, Waco; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
