One killed, one injured in rollover wrecks in Grayson County
by Mary Jane Farmer

Several rollover wrecks happened in Grayson County on Saturday and Sunday.  One Pottsboro man died in one of them, and a young Sherman woman was seriously injured in another wreck.
At 8:45 p.m. Saturday, Justin Pittman, 22, of Pottsboro was killed in a one-vehicle wreck on Cemetery Road just west of FM 120.  According to Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Carif Alkchatic's report, Mr. Pittman was going west when his 1997 Chevrolet pickup ran off the roadway on the south side.  It appeared that Mr. Pittman overcorrected when trying to gain control of the pickup and got back on the pavement, but then overcorrected and again left the road on the south side.  This time when the pickup went into the ditch, it went into a roll and partially ejected the driver before coming to a stop.
Mr. Pittman was ejected and later pronounced dead at the scene.
At 2:28 a.m. Sunday, Sheridon Leigh Tate of Sherman was injured when her passenger car rolled over near FM 84.  Details are not yet available through Texas Highway Patrol, but family said she was first taken to Texoma Medical Center, then transferred to Dallas Methodist Hospital.  Her condition doesn't appear to be life threatening, although it is serious.
