  James "Ben" Hensley 27 March 1935 - 15 December 2008 Sheila Jane Hensley 1 March 1942 - POTTSBORO - James "Benny" Hensley, 73-year-old Pottsboro
resident, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at Texoma Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro. Mr. Hensley was born on March 27, 1935 in Glenwood, Ark., son of Luther "Dude" and Gladys Pearl Patterson Hensley and was a Sherman High School graduate. On June 6, 1959 he married Sheila Lamance in Denison. Mr. Hensley was a submarine cook in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and then served in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was employed by Grandpappy Point Marina, often taking out cruises for the Marina. He was a Missionary Baptist. Surviving are his wife, Sheila Hensley of Pottsboro; sons, Benny Wayne Hensley and wife, Joyce of Charlotte, North Carolina; Bradley Hensley and wife, Nancy and Bryan Lee Hensley; all of Pottsboro, Dustin Wayne Hensley and wife, Krystal of Sherman; brother, Charles J. Hensley and wife, Sonja of Austin; sister, Patricia Farm and husband, Buzz of Fort Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 5 -6 p.m. Thursday at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel. The family suggests memorials to Texoma Tornadoes Special Olympics Group, 325 MLK Boulevard, Denison, TX 75020.  Herald Democrat November 28, 2010 POTTSBORO - Graveside services for Bryan Lee Hensley, 43, of Pottsboro will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Georgetown Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Clinton will officiate, and arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. He died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Texoma Medical Center. Mr. Hensley was born Dec. 17, 1966, in Denison, the son of James Benny and Sheila Lamance Hensley. He attended school in Sherman and was employed as a mechanic at natural gas plants. He was a Baptist. Surviving are his mother, Shelia Hensley of Pottsboro; son, Jed Hensley of Denison; daughters, Whitney Hensley and Jackie Hensley, both of Denison, and Katlyn Hensley of Pottsboro; brothers, Benny Hensley of Charlotte, North Carolina, Bradley Hensley of Pottsboro and Dustin Hensley of Sherman; and grandchild, Parker Hensley.
