Mr.
and Mrs. John Waldrip and daughter, Clara B. Waldrip, returned last
night from Pottsboro, Texas, where they were called on account of the
death of Mrs. Waldrip's mother, Mrs. S.R. Burgess. Mrs. Burgess
was well known here, having visited Mrs. Waldrip a number of times.
She was 82 years old and is survived by five other children, Mrs.
Minnie Brogdon, Pottsboro; Mrs. Mary Caden, Demmitt, Texas; C. Burgess,
Pottsboro, and Mrs. W.W. Sledge and Mrs. C.M. Chancey, both of Ada.
Mrs.
Burgess has been ill for more than a year. She died Thursday
morning at 4 o'clock and was buried at her home in Pottsboro Friday.
