A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 at Georgetown Baptist Church, 207 Georgetown Road, Pottsboro with Billy Dixon Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro. Dale married Patricia Dixon on Nov. 5, 1988 in Pottsboro. He retired from GTE after 30 years and was presently employed by Tech Line in Van Alstyne. He is survived by his wife Patricia of Pottsboro; children Deanna R. Metcalf of Farmersville, Debra R. Rapp of McKinney, Denice R. Drost of Sherman; step-children Brent Jackson of Pottsboro, Ricky Powell of Pottsboro, Amy R. Gage of Denison; sister Carol Parker of Gladewater; brothers Howard Rapp of Arizona, Byron Rapp of West Virginia; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison.
