Northeast of Van Alstyne, Texas

The Jameson Community may have been named for Allen Jameson who settled in Grayson County in 1849. The school name is spelled JAMISON and JAMESON.

The school building was located near the southwest corner of the Ben Nix Survey No. 907. There was a shed for horses and a large cellar. Pupils got their water from a nearby spring.
