Faye Schnitker passed away on January 29, 2022 in Denison, Texas at the age of 95.  She was born July 22, 1926 in LaGrange, Texas, daughter of Earl and Edith Birdwell.  She married Clarence W. "Dutch" Schnitker on December 31, 1945 in Denison, Texas.  They were married for 51 years; and they enjoyed traveling and camping in the Valley with family and friends.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and B.P.O.E. Ladies Auxiliary #238. She worked for Dr. Doak Blassingame for several years.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Linda Faye Weger and husband, Johnny, of Denison; and Susan Nanette Clement and husband, Curtis, of Pottsboro; a son, Mark William Schnitker and wife, Lisa, of Cartwright; 6 grandchildren,  Stacy Weger and husband, Nick, of DeSoto; Tammy Kent and husband, Brian, of Pottsboro; Christi Maxwell and husband, Shane, of Denison; Brandon Clement and wife, Alice, of Killeen; Amy Clemons and husband, Cody, of Pottsboro; Joseph Schnitker of Cartwright; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Jeanette Harrell and Madie Kana; and brother, Allen Birdwell.
Funeral mass was held Saturday morning, February 5, 2022 at St. Patrick Church with Father Stephen Mocio officiating.  Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery.  Rosary was recited Friday evening at Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Brandon Clement; Joseph Schnitker; Cody Clemons; Shane, Garrett, and Braden Maxwell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of her late husband, Dutch Schnitker. - - - Fisher Funeral Home

FUNERAL
Services were held Saturday, May 16, 1981 for Joseph E. Schnitker, 62-year-old retired carpenter of Denison.
Mr. Schnitker was born in Muenster, a son of  Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schnitker, Sr. and married Helen Finke on June 16, 1943 in Denison.  He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Elks Lodge.  He was a longtime Denison resident and an Army veteran of World War II.
Among the survivors is  a son, Bob Schnitker of Denison.
