Mrs. Hattie Spears, 69, died at her home, 617 E. Morton, Friday, June 14 [sic[ at 3:25 p.m.
Requiem mass was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock with the Rev. Monsgr. Thomas Zachary officiating.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Bratcher Funeral Home in charge.
Born in Philadelphia January 22, 1888, Mrs. Spears was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nitz.  On January 5, 1911, she married Robert H. Spears.  She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors are two sons, Paul R. Spears and WIlliam F. Spears, both of Denison; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Whaley of Pottsboro, Mrs. Edwina Stapleton and Miss Connie Spears, both of Denison; a half-brother, George O. Goehler of Philadelphia; one sister, Miss Anna Clements of Philadelphia, and six grandchildren.
