WHITEWRIGHT - Charles Samuel Blanton, 68, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at his home here following an illness of four days.  Funeral services  will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Baptist church with the Rev. E. P. Wootten officiating, assisted by the Rev. R. Duke Barron, Methodist pastor.  Internment will be in Bethel cemetery, Glen Earnheart directing. 
Born Nov. 14, 1876 at Porters, three miles east of Whitewright he was the son of B. F. and Julia Ann Blanton.  He was married in July 1896 to Miss Pricilla Cowan.  He attended Bethel school and Grayson college and was a farmer.  The last three
years he has been mail messenger for the local postoffice.  His wife died four and one-half years ago and he was making his home with his 97-year-old mother, Mrs. B. F. Blanton. He was a member of the Baptist church. 
Survivors include his mother, three sons, Orbia Blanton of San Antonio, Roy Blanton of Whitewright, Sgt. Charles E. Blanton of Camp Hood; a daughter, Mrs. Claud   Stephens of Jacksonville; Three brothers, J.A. Blanton of Houston, W.A. Blanton of Oklahoma City, two sisters, Mrs. N.C. Sweatt of  Whitewright, Mrs. W.A. Badgett of Denison and six grandchildren. 
Pallbearers will be
Mallie Williams, Cloy Horton, J.P. Darwin, O.G. Bow,  B.W. Newman and Taylor Autrey.

FUNERAL TOMORROW FOR C.S. Blanton
Charles Samuel Blanton, 68, died Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at the home of his mother, Mrs. B.F. Blanton, following a four-day illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. E.P. Wootten, assisted by Rev. Duke R. Barron, pastor of the Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be M.V. Williams, Cloy Horton, J.P. Darwin, O.G. Bow, B.W. Newman and T.B. Autrey.
Mr. Blanton was born near Whitewright November 14, 1876, son of B.F. and Julia Ann Blanton.  He was married at Bethel in July 1896 to Miss Priscilla Cowan.  Mrs. Blanton died four years ago.  He attended the Bethel school and old Grayson College.   He was a farmer most of his life.  For the past three years he has been mail messenger for the Whitewright post office.  He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Blanton is survived by three sons, Orbia Blanton, San Antonio; Roy Blanton, Whitewright; Sgt. Charles E. Blanton, Camp Hood, Texas; and one daughter, Mrs. Claud Stephens, Jacksonville.  He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. B.F. Blanton, who is 97 years old; three brothers, J.F. Blanton, Lubbock; J.A. Blanton, Houston; W.A. Blanton, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. W.A. Badgett, Denison; Mrs. N.C.Sweatt, Whitewright, and six grandchildren.

MRS. C.S. BLANTON
Whitewright - Mrs. Charley S. Blanton, 60, resident of the Bethel community south of here died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jacksonville at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claude Stephens.  Funeral services were to be held at the Bethel Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. E.P. Wooten of Whitewright and the Rev. Howard McSpedden of Pilot Grove. 
She is survived by her husband, three sons, Orbia Blanton of San Antonio, Roy Blanton of Whitewright and Earl Blanton of Longview and one daughter, Mrs. Stephens.  There are four grandchildren. 
Mrs. Blanton was born in Alabama March 20, 1880, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Cowan.  She was married to Mr. Blanton in 1897.  She was a member of the Whitewright Baptist Church. 
Pallbearers selected were B.W. Newman, Cloy
Horton, Percy Darwin, M.V. Williams, Taylor Autrey, and Oscar Bow.  Earnheart arranged for burial at Bethel.

MRS. PRISCILLA-VIRGINIA BLANTON
Mrs. Priscilla Virginia Blanton, wife of Charles S. Blanton of the Bethel community, four miles south of Whitewright, died suddenly at Jacksonville Tuesday at 11:30 p.m.  She had gone to Jacksonville to visit her daughter, Mrs. Claud Stephens. She had been ill for six weeks preceding her death.

The body was prepared for burial by the Gerald-Scoggins Funeral Home at Jacksonville and brought to the home of her son, Roy Blanton, Wednesday. 
Funeral services are to be held at the Bethel Baptist Church Thursday afternoon  at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E.P. Wooten, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Whitewright, assisted by Rev. Howard McSpedden,  pastor of the Bethel Church.  Pallbearers will be Cloy Hoton, B.W. Newman, J.P. Darwin, Mallie Williams, Taylor Autrey and Oscar Bow. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Glen Earnheart.  Internment will be at the Bethel
Cemetery. 
Mrs. Blanton was born March 20, 1880 near Birmingham, Ala., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Cowan.  She came to Texas with her parents in 1888 and was married in 1896 to C.S. Blanton of Whitewright.  She had been a member of the Baptist Church for a number of years and at the time of her death was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Whitewright. 
Mrs. Blanton is survived by her husband and four children, Orbia Blanton of San Antonio, Roy Blanton  of Whitewright, Mrs. Claud Stephens of Jacksonville and Earl Blanton of Longview, and three grandsons and one granddaughter.  She is survived by a brother and three sisters, Glenn Cowan, Oriana, Texas; Mrs. Dave Lewis, Van Alstyne; Mrs. John Miller, Whitewright, and Mrs. M.A. Cunningham of California.
