 Bethel Cemetery is located south of Whitewright, Texas on State Highway 1960, at the Bethel Community, near the Bethel Baptist Church.
Updated May 14, 2017B. F. & Julia Blanton deeded five acres to the deacons of the Bethel Baptist Church at Bethel on April 10, 1894 for burial purposes. On June 30, 1897, J. P. and Ann Autrey deeded land for the Church to the Deacons and their successors. The Bethel Baptist Cemetery is designated as a Historic Texas Cemetery by the Texas Historical Commission.
