Wendell, December 29, 1887 @ Sherman, Texas Burial : July 8, 1971 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, July 8, 1971 pg. 8 Mrs. Edna Wendell, aged 100, passed away at the Whitewright Nursing Home Tuesday morning. She was born July 31, 1870 in the Bethel Community and was married to the late W.T. Wendell in 1887. She was the oldest member of the Bethel Baptist Church and at the Whitewright Nursing Home. Services were held Thursday at Earnheart Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles R. Pierce, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. She is survived by one son, L.L.
