Spencer Runyan Family

Spencer Runyan, the son of Reuben and Mary Gordon Runyan, was born about 1871 in New Jersey.  Spencer married Elizabeth "Betsy' Graham June 26, 1804 in Franklin
County, Kentucky.  Elizabeth was the daughter of Francis and Elizabeth Robinson Graham.

Children of Spencer Runyan and Elizabeth "Betsy" Graham

Wilson Runyan, born about 1804 and died at the age of 28 before 1832 in Burlington, Boone County, Kentucky. 
Wilson married Lydia Coleman on December 26, 1822 in Boone County, Kentucky. Lydia was born about 1807
and died November 5, 1855.
Son, William Watts Runyan was born about 1823 and died May 6, 1864 in WS  Barracks General Hospital,
New Orleans, Louisiana. William married Agnes Beall on November 21, 1847 in Boone County. The couple
moved to Aurora, Dearborn County, Indiana before 1857
Boswell Runyan was born about 1805 and was a tavern keeper in Willaimstown, Grant County, Kentucky.
Georgia Ann Runyan was born about 1807 in Kentucky.  She married Joseph E. Boswell on  November 27, 1823
in Boone County, Kentucky;
James Madison "Mat" Runyan, born about 1807 was a blacksmith. Mat married Mary Maria Hamilton on
November 28, 1837 in Campbell County, Kentucky;
Peter Gordon Runyan was born in Boone County, Kentucky about 1807  He lived in Nashville, Tennessee
dying there in 1845.
Robinson G. Runyan, was born in Kentucky about 1810 and died probably in St. Louis, Missouri between
1880-1890.  He married Elizabeth Smith on October 1837, in Franklin County, Kentucky;
Mary Florence Runyan, was born about 1813 in Frankfort, Kentucky. She was the second  wife of Harry  Innes
Anderson.  She and Harry married on November 19, 1833 in Boone County, Kentucky;
Benjamin M. Runyan was born about 1814 in Kentucky. As a banker, Benjamin, hung himself after a bad
business deal.  He died on June 11, 1867 in St. Louis, Missouri and is buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Benjamin married Mary E. Dunkin on June 3, 1843 in Nashville, Tennessee.  She died on May 7, 1876 and
is also buried in the Bellefontaine Cemetery;
Reuben  Runyan was born on March 1, 1814 in Frankfort, Kentucky.  He was a dry goods merchant.
Reuben died on April 16, 1885.  He married Mary Traynbe Greenwood on September 12, 1842, in Boone
County, Kentucky and
Elizabeth Runyan, who was born on January 24, 1820 in Williamstown, Grant County, Kentucky. She died
as an infant on October 9, 1820 and is buried in the Williamstown Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.
