Mountain Sumac
Sumac Bloom.  Sumac leaves are used for tanning leather. Grows throughout the Eastern United States.  The beautiful scarlet pods can be sprayed and used for Christmas decoration or in floral arrangements. (non-poisonous).  This lovely speciman was found in the Duncan Gap section of Wise County.
