Colt's Foot

This plant is called "coltsfoot" because  the shape of its leaves resembles a colt's hoof.  It is also called "Coughwort" and is known for its ability to cure coughs. Blooms Feburary and March & early April. Probably the earliest wildflower to bloom in Wise County, VA.
