My grandmother was Minnie Hilton, daughter of John F. Hilton, who was the first son of Emanuel Hillard Hilton of Scott Co., VA. John F. Hilton and family moved to Norton around the 1900's and we are trying desperately to learn more about this family. I found on a web site "John F. 'Napper John' Hilton, died 1915 in Norton, VA. My grandmother died when her only son was 5 years old, so we have little information. We believe we have photos of John F. Hilton or Emmanuel Hilton and they are tin type photos. We are trying to answer a family rumor that John F. Hilton was an Indian man, I don't believe it but we need proof one way or the other. Also we have a postcard, we believe, from Norton, dated 1908. It shows, what the person wrote on the back "How do you like our new theater?" Can anyone positively identify this as a Norton landmark or not. Stewart Dunaway
