GOOD HOUSEKEEPER

Now this woman I know moved from the mountains, up past the Mason-Dixon line, to live. That was her first mistake! But here I am talking about leaving the mountains and I’ve moved to Kansas.
Anyway, she had never been the world’s best at housekeeping, as a matter of fact, she is a pretty poor housekeeper by anyone’s standards.
So, it really came as no surprise when she told me her neighbors had all gotten together and written her a note. Seems she came home one night after dark and tacked to her front door was a note that said:

PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR YARD.
IT’S A DISGRACE!
Signed: The Neighborhood

Now, she has always been a person that is bothered by very little and doesn’t let herself get upset by obvious ignorance. Don’t these people realize that you can do whatever you want in your on yard. If you want to have junked vehicles parked there you can. If you want to throw all your trash out back, it’s alright. She couldn’t believe how nosy these people were.
She made the rounds of the neighborhood late one night, tacking notes to all their doors, saying:

IF YOU THINK MY YARD LOOKS BAD,
YOU SHOULD SEE MY HOUSE.
Signed: COULD CARE LESS
