Ralph E. Billingsley

  Ralph E "Snee" Billingsley, 80, of Fredericksburg, Va died Thursday Dec. 15, 2005, at his home.  

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, Having served during the World War II, and was a member of Spotswood Baptist Church. He had retired from the Free Lance-Star and was member of the Elks Lodge 875.

  Survivors include his wife, Bettie Snellings Billingsley; one son Robert E Billingsley and his wife, Debbie, of Roanoke; one daughter Robin B. Bryant and her husband, Dennis, of Spotsylvania County; four grand-sons, Rodney Bryant and his wife Meredyth, of Glen Allen, Jody Bryant and his wife Ginger, of Spotsylvania Ryan Billingsley and his wife Taylor, Of Arlington, and David Billingsley of Roanoke, one great-grandson Andrew Bryant of Glen Allen; one sister Eula Lewis of Arlington; two
brothers, Sydnor "Hop" Billingsley of Fredericksburg and Thomas
"Cotton" Billingsley of Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.

  He was preceded in death by a great-grand daughter Annabelle
Bryant.

  A funeral will be held at noon Saturday Dec. 17, at Spotswood
Baptist  Church , with Rev Bob Melvin and the Rev. Jim Stone
officiating. Entombment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday ,Dec 16 at Covenant Funeral Services, Fredericksburg.

  Pallbearers will be his four grand-sons, Rodney Bryant, Jody Bryant, Ryan Billingsley and David Billingsley; also Bernard "Butch" Shields and Billy Hicks.
