Musselman Family Cemetery #2
Contributed by: Homer Musselman
I was extremely happy to find this
cemetery as my great grandmother, Susan Musselman Black, was buried here. Susan
E. Bryant married Wesley A. Musselman on Nov 2, 1854 in Stafford County. Their
children were Mary E., John W., Martha J. and Jackson Musselman (my
grandfather). Something happened to Wesley Musselman during the Civil War as
Susan E. Musselman, widow, married George W. Black on 5 April 1865 at Ramoth
Baptist Church. There are two graves marked with large field stones. Could these
large field stones mark the graves of Wesley A. and Mary E. (their daughter)
Musselman. If only stones could talk. The second marked grave is that of Betty
Shelton Musselman, first wife of John W. Musselman, son of Susan and Wesley
Musselman.
