Carter-Decatur Family Cemetery
Contributed by: Homer Musselman
Take Widewater Road (Route #611) to
Decatur Road (Route #635) and turn right onto Decatur Road. Go for 1.8 miles to
William and Mary Lane (Route #719) which is a gravel road. Go for one mile on
gravel road and the cemetery is on the left among some trees. Mr. Joseph
Decatur, who lived in the house just past the cemetery, is a descendant of those
buried here. He provided information on the people buried here and their
relationships. The cemetery is in very good condition.
