I am interested in contacting any descendant of Zachariah Blankenbeckler of Wythe County, VA. He lived in that part of Wythe County that became Smyth County--that is on the South Fork of the Holston. He had sons George, Jesse, John, and Aaron. I am descended from Aaron. His daughters were Betsy who married Thomas Quillen, Leah who married John Griffitts, Sallie who married Samuel Cloud, Polly who married one of the many Jacob Ketterings, and Nancy who married Robert Johnson in 1808 and predeceased her father. Many of his descendants live in Wythe, Grayson, Smyth, Tazewell, and Giles Counties in VA. They also went to Tennessee and Kentucky. Sometimes the name was shortened to Blanken and Beckler, and even Blank. I am anxious to communicate with anyone in order to add to the extensive database that I have on this family. It is unclear who Moore Robinson's father was. It has been suggested that it may have been James Robinson who died January 31, 1835 in Smyth Co.

Died: January 25, 1981 in Richlands, Va. She married James Bishop Hays Edward Frederick Davidson Born: Feb. 8, 1902/04 in Richvalley or Saltville, Va. Died: June 15, 1983--Big Stone Gap, Va. I am attempting to research my family tree. My primary interest is in the Sexton family. I know that the Sextons have been in Wythe County since at least the mid-to-late 1700s. The first reference I've found was to Joseph and Phoebe Sexton (Evansham) 177(0). Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Would like any information on my EDWARDS line. I found JOHN & SARAH NELSON EDWARDS living in Smyth Co W Va 1850 census. Their son JOSEPH or JOEL GREEN EDWARDS was my 3rd ggfather. He was b June 30, 1842 Smyth Co VA and marr Martha "Patty" Deboard (Debord) July 26, 1861 Lawrence Co KY. JOEL GREEN & MARTHA "PATTY" DEBOARD EDWARDS lived their lives out in Lawrence Co KY and are buried there. The 1850 census of Smyth Co states that JOHN EDWARDS was b 1800 in Maine? & SARAH NELSON b 1805 in Tennessee? I was told Sarah Nelson's parents were David & Nancy Nelson, but not sure. JOHN & SARAH NELSON EDWARDS' children were Nancy, Sarah Ann who marr February 14, 1849 Smyth Co VA to George Turner, Hannah, David, Rebecca, John J., and Joseph or Joel Green Edwards. George Turner's parents were William & Phebe Turner. Any help would be appreciated.
