PROBATE RECORD OF JOSHUA JOB 30 MAY 1782 INDEX, SHENANDOAH COUNTY VIRGINIA WILL BOOK A 1772-1784 PAGE 394 Know all men by these presents that we Enoch Job, Edwin Young, Adam Cunningham are held and firmly bound unto Abm Bird, Alex Hite, Joseph Watson and Martin Nally themen Justices of the County Court of Shanando now siting in the sum of Five Hundred pounds current money to which payment well & truly to be made to the said Justices & their successors we bind ourselves and every of us our & every of our Heirs, Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals & dates this 30th of May 1782. The condition of this obligation is such that of the above bound Enoch Job Administrator of all &Singular the goods chattels and credits of Joshua Job deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all & Singular the good chattels & credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands of the said Enoch Job or into the hands or possession of any the person or persons for him & the sum so made do Exhibit or cause to be Exhibited into the County Court of Shanando at such time as he shall be thereto required by the said Court & then said goods chattels & credits & all the other goods chattels & credits of the said Joshua Job at the time of his death which at any time after shall come into the hands or possession of the said Enoch Job or into the hands of possession of any other person or persons for him do well & truly administer according to Law & further do make a Just and true account when thereto required by the said goods chattels & credits of the said Joshua Job which shall be found remaining upon the said administrators accounts the same being first examined & allowed by the Court for the time being shall deliver & pay into such person or persons respectively as the said Justices by their order of Judgement shall direct pursuant of the Law in the case made & provide & if it shall thereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the said Joshua Job & the Executor or Executors then in named do exhibit the same into the said court making request to have allowed & approved accordingly of the said Enoch Job being there to required do under & deliver up Letters of Administration approbation of such Testament being first had & made in the said court them the above obligation to be void otherwise to remain in the full force & virtue.
