Wampler - Garber Marriage.

At twelve o' clock noon Wednesday, November 5, 1902, at the residence of the bride's parents, three miles northeast of new Market, VA., Mr. N.C. Wampler, son of Mr. Samuel Wampler, of near Broadway, Va., and Miss Ida F., only child of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Garber, were married by Elder B. W. Neff. There were two sets of attendants---Mr. D. Solomon Wampler (brother of the groom) and Miss Clara D. Holler, and Mr. Isaac N. Zigler and Miss Lelia B. Neff. The bride was attired in gray cloth, trimmed in gray satin to match, and the bridesmaid in gray serge, trimmed in applique. The groom and groomsmen were attired in the conventional black. The marriage took place in the parlor in the presence of a considerable number of guests, Mrs. J. T. Layman rendering a beautiful wedding march. Immediately after the wedding, a sumptuous dinner, consisting of a great variety in abundance, was served of which about forty guests partook to the fullest enjoyment. The happy couple, accompanied by their attendants, drove to Quicksburg where the former boarded the evening north-bound train for Washington and other places of interest to spend a week before returning to the home of the groom's parents at Broadway, Va., where they will be tendered a reception; then after spending a month visiting relatives and friends in Rockingham and at other points they will return to the bride's parents where they will make their future home.

The bride is an attractive young lady, possessed of many sterling qualities, whilst the groom is an industrious, thrifty, worthy young man. To the happy couple a large circle of relatives and friends unite with us in extending to them best wishes and hearty congratulations.

Those from a distance who attended the marriage were the following: Mr. Samuel D. Wampler (father of the groom) and sons, Broadway; Mr. David Holler, Timberville; Mr. Benj. Garber and wife, Mr. Oscar Lohr and wife, Forestville; Miss Sarah E. Litton, Woodstock.

The satisfied smile that spread over the face of our genial friend Mr. Benj. Garber who called to see us yesterday after the wedding dinner convinces us that the cooks and caterers of the occasion are equal to Delmonico's, which testimony is still further confirmed by a bounteous portion of wedding cake generously forwarded us by Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Garber, to whom we return appreciative thanks.
