Wanzer - Kagey

We take the following from the OAKLEY GRAPHIC, Oakley, Logan county, Kansas of March 8, 1901:

"It is with pleasure we announce the marriage of Charles L. Kagey and Miss Phebe Wanzer which occurred in a quiet, homelike manner at the home of the bride's parents in Russell Springs, on Monday evening, March 4th. Rev. Raby, pastor of the M. E. church at that place, performed the ceremony. Mr. Kagey is a prominent young attorney of the western section of the state, having served one term as prosecuting attorney of Logan county and is now practicing his profession at Russell Springs. Miss Wanzer is a young lady of admirable qualities and is very popular in Logan county society. The Graphic joins with their many friends in congratulations and best wishes for a happy and prosperous life."

We along with his friends in this vicinity, where he was raised, also join in congratulations. In court and courting Charles seems equally persuasive, and has won his suit--the most important one in life. "So mote it be."
