Harris - Neff Marriage. Tuesday evening, Nov. 4, 1902, at 6 o' clock, at the home of the officiating minister Elder J. F. Driver, near Plains Mill, Mr. Rufus Harris and Miss Florence Neff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Neff, of near Quicksburg, Va., were married. It seems Miss Neff took the train at Quicksburg on the day indicated, ostensibly to go to Harrisonburg to do some shopping, and met Mr. Harris at some depot south of Timberville, and then drove to Elder Driver's where they were married. From there they went to the home of the groom's mother Mrs. Frank Knupp, near Hupp. They were in New Market Thursday night. Mr. Harris is an expert with horses, but more recently has been engaged otherwise at Broadway. The bride is quite pretty. |
