Garber - Lohr Marriage. The following communication was handed us this morning for publication: A wedding in Hagerstown, Md., which has interested many Shenandoah people, was that of Miss Julia A. Garber, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Benj. Garber, of Forestville, Va., and Mr. Oscar Lohr, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Will Lohr, of near New market, which took place Nov. 12, 1901, at St. Paul's united Brethren church. Rev. Arthur B. Stratton performed the ceremony. it was a noon wedding, and was followed by a delicious luncheon to a few guests---all of them being from Baltimore, Md. The bride was handsomely gowned in heavy white satin duchess, with some old point lace on the bodice; and a tulle veil, fastened with pearls, enveloping her figure. She carried a round bouquet of white roses. At 3.30 the same evening Mr. and Mrs. Lohr took their departure for New York and Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Lohr have many friends, who will be pleased to congratulate them,---and yet some will extend their congratulations with sad hearts and moist eyes. |
