On Swover Creek, just northwest of Conicville (formerly Cabin Hill), is the ancestral home of the Rinkers -- Jacob Rinker, the emigrant from Switzerland; his son, Col. Jacob Rinker, surveyor and presiding justice of the county; and others. Col. Levi Rinker of Rinkerton was a grandson of Col. Jacob Rinker.
