The Tommy Baker Home is a rectangular two and one half story weather boarded log structure with a metal gabled roof and three brick chimneys. There are twenty two windows, several have twelve small panes and the others have been replaced by four and two pane windows. There was an old time portico which was replaced by a common porch without balusters. The entrance is a four panel door with a transom.

There are ten large rooms with eight foot ceilings. The stairway is a concealed small stairway with a batten door with an iron latch. The cellar is under two rooms and has an old sunken floor of bricks. The walls are papered and painted, and the kitchen has wide paneled wainscoting. The floors are of wide boards of irregular widths. There is one plain mantel. Rough hand-hewn overhead beams are upstairs next to the attic floor.
