17 Dec 1796: Martin Shaner and Catherine, his wife, of the county of Hawkins, in the state of Tennessee, conveyed to Daniel Hisey, for the sum of one hundred pounds current money of Virginia, 111 acres, being the same land that was granted to Martin Shaner by the late Lord Proprietor's Office of the Northern Neck of Virginia.

27 Aug 1814: Daniel Hisey, Sr. and Barbara, his wife, conveyed to Daniel Hisey, Jr. 79 acres, being a part of a larger tract which was conveyed to Daniel Hisey, Sr. by Martin Shaner and Catherine, his wife.

13 Jan 1869: Abraham Hisey was appointed administrator of the estate of Daniel Hisey, deceased.

1 Dec 1905: Abraham Hisey died intestate, and a partition of real estate was made between Bettie Haun and Kate Hisey.

13 Jan 1932: Rufus Lamberson and Bertha, his wife, for the sum of $2,500.00, conveyed to Mollie C. Marston, being the same land devised by Kate Hisey to Rufus Lamberson in her will, and being the same that was conveyed to Kate Hisey in a deed of partition of Abraham Hisey's estate, dated December 1, 1905.

A large unpainted house under a hill with a mile of bad road leading to it. Old shrubbery in the yard, which is enclosed by a fence. There is a general neglected appearance of all outbuildings, which are constructed of logs, are old, and in need of repair.

Abraham Hisey was born at this house, 28 Oct 1827. His father, Daniel Hisey, Jr., was in the War of 1812, and in service at Norfolk. Daniel Hisey, Jr., bought this home from his uncle, Daniel Hisey, Sr., who was among the prominent citizens of Shenandoah County.

Abraham Hisey was a Union man and went to Ohio for three years during the Civil War; he was ill for a long time with diphtheria.
