Having been paralized Monday morning at seven o'clock, Charles M. Stickley, a life-time resident of the Oranda neighborhood, succumbed Wednesday evening at the hour of four. He was born July 24, 1853, thus reaching the age of 63 years, 1 month and 24 days. Funeral services will be preached in the Walnut Springs Christian Church Saturday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. M. Allen Stickley officiating. Mr. Stickely wa a much respected citizen and the father of a large family. Surviving him are six daughters, Mrs. Luna H. Lowery of Middletown, Mesdames F.R. Kline, Annie L. Hodson, Catherine C. McDonald and Mary E. Hodson, all of the Oranda neighborhood, and Mrs. Beulah L. See of Romney, W.Va.; two sons, I.L. Stickley of Clary and T.A. Stickley of Cedar Creek; one sister, Mrs. Mary E. Beeler of Oranda; one full brother, Geo. M. Stickley of Middletown; and one half-brother, David E. Stickley of Marlboro. His wife, who was a Miss Pangle, also survives. Mr. Stickley was a son of the late Samuel E. Stickley. THe large family have the sympathy of many friends in their hour of bereavement. |
