John Page esquire governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia:

To all to whom these presents shall come greeting:

Know Ye, That by virtue of a Land Office treasury warrent, number three thousand and twenty three issued the second day of December eighteen hundred, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Tobias Beam, a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred acres by survey bearing date the twenty fifth day of September eighteen hundred and two, lying and being in the county of Shenandoah on the Blue ridge, adjoining his other Lands, and bounded as followeth to wit:

Beginning at three chesnut oaks, corner to his other lands, running thence with his other lines, reversing the course as follows, north thirty seven degrees, west one hundred and thirty eight poles to a chesnut tree, thence south thirty seven degrees west one hundred and sixty-four poles, to a Spanish oak and chesnut oak thence south seventy seven degrees east sixty five poles to a white oak by some rocks, corner to said Tobias Beam, then leaving his line, and the same course continued forty eight poles farther to a chesnut, chesnut oak and a white oak, then south forty-one degrees, east sixty poles to two Spanish oaks and a chesnut oak, then south eighty six degrees east forty three poles to two chesnuts, and two Spanish-oaks then north thirteen degrees, east two hundred and twenty five poles to a locust and chesnut oak, then north seventy-two degrees, east thirty-nine poles to a Spanish oak and a white-oak, then north twenty degrees east eighty eight poles to a double chesnut tree and a hickory then north fifty five degrees west ninety poles to a white pine and two Spanish-oaks on a clift, south thirty two degrees west one hundred and sixty six poles to the line of the said Tobias Beam's other Land, then with the lines thereof reversing the course, south thirty eight degrees, east eighty poles, to a locust between two large white-oaks, and then south sixteen degrees, west sixty six poles to the beginning with its appurtenances;

To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Tobias Beam and his heirs forever.

In witness whereof the said John Page esquire, governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the eleventh day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four and of the Commonwealth the twenty eighth.
