By virtue of a Land Office Treasury warrant

No. 2490 issued the 6th day of June 1798 for 700 acres obtained by Jacob Rinker who assigned part thereof to Adam Mavis who entered the same on my book I have surveyed for the said Adam mavis agreeable to his location made the 26th day of May 1802 a certain tract or parcel of land containing twelve acres and one quarter of an acres (sic) lying, and being in the County of Shenandoah near a branch of Pughs run and is bounded as followeth to wt:

Beginning at a large white oak on a ridge corner to Abraham Hochenour in Leonard Mowrers Line running thence with Mowrers line and Jacob Hottel's line in a direct course S 65 degrees 30" one hundred and twenty one poles to a locust stake in said Hottel's lne near a locust corner to John Mavis, then with his line S 25 degrees E sixteen poles to a locust near a large rock stone corner to said Abraham Hochenour, then with his line N 65 degrees 30 " E one hundred and twenty poles to a double black walnut and a white amongst Limestones on a ridge and then with another of his lines N 25 degrees W seventeen poles to the Beginning
