GRANT TO PHILIP LINDAMOOD

Henry A. Wise Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia:

To all to whom these Presents shall come GREETING:

KNOW YE, That in conformity with a survey made on the twenty ninth day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty five, by virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant, No. 20,554 there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Philip Lindamood a certain Tract or Parcel of Land, containing eleven acres and a quarter, lying in Shenandoah County, on the drains of Elk run, a branch of Stony creek, and bounded as follows, Viz:

Beginning at a wild cherry and a young pine, where Adam Weaver's patent calls for 2 pines, Now Lewis Naselrodt's corner, thence with said Weaver's patent line, now Lewis Naselrod's line, S. 73° W. passing a corner of Abraham Sager's at the end of 79 poles, Thence the same course continued to the end of 119 poles. to 3 pines & a chestnut oak by a road, said Weaver & Gabriel Sager's corner, Thence with said Gabriel Sager's patent line, now said Lewis Naselrodt's line, S. 11 1/2° E. 122 poles to 2 poines said Naselrodt's patent corner, thence leaving said Sager's line and extending with said Naselrodt's patent lines as follows, W. 1 1/2° E. 127 poles and 5 links to 2 pines one of which is dead, thence W. 72° E. 90 poles & 74 links to the beginning, with its appurtenances.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the said Philip Lindamood and his heirs forever.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Henry A. Wise Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the first day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six and of the Commonwealth the eighty first.
