GRANT TO PHILIP LINDAMOOD

Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia:

To all to whom these Presents shall come -- GREETING:

KNOW YE, That in conformity with a survey made on the Seventh day of April One thousand eight hundred and fifty two, by virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 19,148 there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Philip Lindamood a certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing twenty three and one fourth acres lying in Shenandoah County on the drains of Stony Creek, and bounded as follows viz.

Beginning at a white oak and two red oaks a corner to the lands belonging to Joshua Sine, Jacob Barb & said Philip Lindamood's other land, Thence running with the lines of said Lindamood's other land N. 48° E. 100 poles to three dead pines, Thence N. 60° W. 78 poles to three dead pines, a corner of Joshua Sine's land and with a line thereof S. 3° W. 108 poles to the beginning with its appurtenances.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of Land; with its appurtenances, to the said Philip Lindamood and his heirs forever.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the Lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three and of the Commonwealth the Seventy Seventh.
