GRANT TO CHRISTOPHER LINDAMUDE

To all to whom these presents shall come Greeting

Know ye that by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number Two thousand three hundred and ten issued the seventh day of November one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven lying and being in the county of Shenandoah on the north east side of the top of Buck hill and bounded as followeth to wit:

Beginning at three pines in a line of his former tract of land and extending thence North ten degrees east sixty four poles to two pines thence north eighty four degrees west forty four poles to three pines & a hickory on a ridge then the same course North eighty four degrees west, continues sixty eight poles farther to a white oak and two hickories on the west side of a ridge thence north ten degrees west twenty eight poles to a large pine by a gulley corner to Henry Hottle then with his line south eighteen degrees west two hundred and forty poles (Crossing Buck hill near the top) to four white oaks near the top of said hill thence leaving Hottles line south forty eight degrees East sixty eight poles to two hickories & a white oak thence north fifty seven degrees east fifty six poles to a hickory and two white oaks on a hill corner to Andrew Lindamude thence with his line north sixty degrees east ninety poles to two Locusts a red oak, a white oak and a hickory saplings and a large white oak his corner in the line of said Christopher Lindamood's former tract then with the lines of said former tract north fifty degrees West eighty eight poles to two white oaks at the foot of a hill thence north forty four degrees east one hundred and thirty poles to three white oaks by a Valley and thence south seventy five degrees East one hundred and thirty four poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Christopher Lindamude and his heirs forever.

In witness whereof the said James Monroe Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand & caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the thirtieth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and of the Commonwealth the twenty fifth
