James Wood Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all To whom these Presents shall come Greeting: Know ye, That by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant number five thousand two hundred and sixty three issued the first day of June one thousand seven hundred and eighty, there is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto Jacob Hottel a certain Tract or parcel of Land containing thirty eight acres by Survey bearing date the tenth day of November One thousand seven hundred and ninety one lying and being in the County of Shenandoah at the foot of the little North Mountain on the drains of Toms Brook, and is bounded as followeth to wit: Beginning at a red Oak, a pine and Chesnut Oak, Standing by a small branch and, near the foot of said Mountain corner to his former Survey, and extending thence South twenty Eight degrees West sixty four poles to a Hickory a red Oak and a Chesnut Oak thence South fifty one degrees East sixty five poles to a stake by a marked White Oak in Henry Kellers line. thence with his lines North forty two degrees East three poles to a Red Oak and a White Oak thence South forty Eight degrees East forty five poles to a White Oak Keller's corner in said Jacob Hottels line & thence with his lines North forty two degrees East thirty nine poles to a White Oak thence North forty eight degrees West forty poles to a Spanish Oak, thence North forty two degrees East Eighteen poles to a double White Oak and a Black Oak and thence North fifty degrees West eighty poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Jacob Hottel and his Heirs for ever In Witness whereof the said James Wood Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the fourteenth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety four & of the Commonwealth the nineteenth. |
