James Wood Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all To whom these Presents shall come Greeting: Know ye, That by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant number five thousand two hundred and sixty three issued the first day of June one thousand seven hundred and eighty, there is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto Jacob Hottel a certain Tract or parcel of Land containing one acre by survey bearing date the tenth day of November One thousand seven hundred and ninety one lying and being in the County of Shenandoah on a drain of Toms Brook and is bounded as followeth to wit: Beginning at a Stake corner to Henry Keller in the said Jacob Hottels line where a corner Walnut formerly stood and running thence with said Keller's line South twelve degrees West ten poles to a Walnut thence South fifty two degrees East sixteen poles to two Walnuts on a Hill thence North forty six degrees East seven and a half poles to where said Keller's deed calls for a Chesnut Oak in the said Hottels line, and thence with the same North forty nine degrees West twenty two poles to the Beginning, with its Appurtenances: To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Jacob Hottel & his heirs forever. In Witness whereof the said James Wood Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the fourteenth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety four & of the Commonwealth the nineteenth. |
