John Page esquire governor of the commonwealth of Virginia:

To all to whom these presents shall come greeting:

Know Ye, That by virtue of a Land Office Treasury warrant number five hundred and eighty six issued the twenty fifth day of July seventeen hundred and ninety-four, there is granted by the said commonwealth unto Jacob Barb senr. a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and forty five acres by survey bearing date the twenty sixth day of July eighteen hundred and four, lying and being in the county of Shenandoah, near Stony creek and bounded as followeth to wit:

Beginning at four pines on the top of a very high point of a ridge, corner to Gabriel Sayger in the line of Peter Sayger (formerly George Harrison's) then with said Peter Sayger's line, north forty-five degrees, east one hundred and ten poles to two white oaks his corner on the south side of a ridge, thence leaving his line north eighty one degrees east twenty seven poles to a stake near a blazed pine in Jacob Anderick's line thence with his lines south sixty degrees east twelve poles to two pines his corner on the side of a ridge, thence north sixty- nine degrees east one hundred and twenty poles to a pine, thence leaving said Anderick's line; south fifty-five degrees east one hundred and twenty one poles to three white oaks on the easterly side of a hill, thence south thirty six degrees west one hundred and fifty poles to three pines on the south side of a ridge, then west one hundred and forty four poles to three pines near the top of a ridge, and thence north eighty-six degrees west forty poles to the beginning with its appurtenances;

To have & to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Jacob Barb senior and his heirs forever.

In Witness whereof the said John Page esquire governor of the commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five and of the commonwealth the thirtieth.
