William B. Giles Esqr. Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia: To all to whom these presents shall come Greeting:

Know Ye That in Conformity with a survey made on the second day of may 1826; by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 5078, issued the May 20th 1813 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto George Miller, A certain Tract or parcel of Land containing four hundred and fourteen acres, situate (sic) in the County of Shenandoah on Little Stony Creek, and bounded as followeth to wit:

Beginning at a sugar hill, a spruce pine and birch standing on the north bank of said creek a corner to a survey made for Isaac Zene; thence with the lines of said Survey North fifty three degrees West sixty poles up a high knob, to three pines on a ridge; thence South forty Eight degrees West seventy Eight poles to a red oak on the north side of a branch in Zanes Line, thence Leaving his line North Eighty three degrees West thirteen and a half poles to a chesnut oak and red oak at said branch south fifty degrees West twenty six poles to three spruce pines on a steep bank of a branch, a corner to John Bowers land, thence with his lines North Seventy five degrees West thirty poles to a black oak and dogwood; at or near said Bowers Corner, thence with another of his Lines North fifty five degrees West Eighty two poles to a chesnut oak and two maples at or near Said Bowers Corner, thence Leaving his line North thirty nine degrees East one hundred and ninety six poles to Several black oak saplings, thence due north twenty Eight poles to a large pine on the side of a mountain, thence north twenty four degrees East one hundred and sixty Poles to a pine and two red oaks on the side of said Mountain thence south fifty five degrees East One hundred and seventy Eight poles to a white oak black oak and pine on the West side of said Creek, thence running doen the Crek South thirty six degrees West Seventy one poles to two spruce pines standing on the East Bank of said Creek A Corner to Thomas Halls land, thence with his line south twenty nine degrees East Eighty poles to a red oak on the side of the sugar hill, thence Leaving said Halls line South thirty degrees West ninety four poles to two red oaks and thence South fifty one degrees West Sixty four poles to the Beginning:

To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land, with its appurtenances to the said George Miller, and his heirs forever.

In witness whereof the said William B. Giles Esq. Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the twenty ninth day of September in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven, and of the Commonwealth the fifty second.
