James Wood Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, To all To whom these presents shall come, Greeting:

Know ye, that by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number four hundred and twenty nine issued the Seventh day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety four, there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Elizabeth Lantz a Certain Tract or parcel of Land containing fifty Acres by Survey bearing dat the nineteenth day of May one thousand, seven hundred and ninety four; lying and being in the County of Shenandoah near Shavers Gap at the foot of the North Mountain and is bounded as followeth to wit

Beginning at a black oak and three pines, standing on a ridge leading to Shavers gap in the line fo teh Land belonging to Jacob Parret formerly Michael Barnetts and running thence with said line, South twenty five degrees East eighty four poles to a white oak on the N. East side of a branch corner to Matthias Zehring by an Indian Grave, thence with Zehring's las line North sixty nine degrees East One hundred poles between a white oak a black oak, thence leaving Zehrings line, North twenty one degrees West seventy six poles to a black oak and a Chesnut oak, and thence South seventy three degrees West one hundred & five poles to the Beginning. WIth its appurtenances;

To have and To hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances, to the said Elizabeth Lantz and her Heirs forever

In Witness whereof the said James Wood Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his Hand and Caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on the Seventh day of January in the year of our Lord, one thousand Seven hundred and ninety nine, and of the Commonwealth the twenty third.
