GRANT TO ANDREW FUNKHOUSER

Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia:

To all to whom these Presents shall come - GREETING:

KNOW YE That in conformity with a survey made on the first day of December one thousand eight hundred and fifty three, by virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 18,694, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Andrew Funkhouser a certain Tract or Parcel of Land, containing One acre one rood & thirty one square poles, lying in Shenandoah County, on the drains of Mill Creek, and bound as follows, Viz:

Beginning at a corner of Erasmus Rinker & said Funkhousers other land (formerly John Zehring's), thence with said Rinker's line, S. 85 1/4° E. 24 poles to a stake in said line, corner to said Funkhouser's land; thence with his lines as follows, S. 47° W. 26 poles to a stake near an ash; thence N. 14° W. 20 poles & 10 links to the beginning with its appurtenances.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to the said Andrew Funkhouser and his heirs forever.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the Lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the first day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four and of the Commonwealth the seventy ninth.
