Gregory, Esquire Lieutenant Governor acting as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia: TO ALL TO WHOM these Presents shall come, GREETING: KNOW YE, That in conformity with a Survey made on the twenty second day of June one thousand eight hundred and forty - By virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 2751 there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Abram. Barb A certain Tract or Parcel of land; containing forty seven acres, situated in Hardy County on the waters of Cape Capon adjoining Maphas Earls &c. and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a pine in a line of sd. Maphas and adhoining the land of Earls with the same S 57 E28 po. to two pines Earls corner leaving st. Line S. 11 W. 86 po. to a large pine at the foot of a ridge near an old powder mill site S. 56 W. 60 pl. to three pines on the end of a ridge S. 39 W. 134 po. to two hickory saplings S. 22 W. 45 po. to a pine Chesnut & black oak N. 47 W. 34 po. to a locust, black oak, and hickory by a road N. 35 E. 46 po to a white oak corner to said Maphis and Gauchenour with said maphas line N 42 1/2 # 206 poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the said Abram. Barb and his heirs forever. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said John M.
