DEED BETWEEN JOHN & POLLY HALL AND AMANDA WEATHERHOLTZ

"for a certain tract of land formerly owned by Abraham Baker"

This Deed made the 13th day of March, 1878 between John Hall and Polly, his wife of the one part and Amanda Wetherholse the wife of Elias Wetherholse of the other part, Witnesseth, the, in consideration of the sum of $25.00 current money in hands paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said John Hall and Polly his wife do grant unto the said Amanda Wetherholse, her heirs and assigns a certain tract of land formerly owned by Abraham Baker and is bounded as follows: Beginning at a corner fence post at the roads, a corner of the Barbary Fadley's tract; thence N 30 ½ E 7 poles and 4 links to another corner fence post; thence S 37 ½ E 22 poles to a stake; thence S 30 ½ W 7 poles and 23l inks to a stake in the road; thence along the road N 25 ½ W 6 poles and 9 links to a white oak stump; thence N 37 ½ N 15 poles and 15 links to the beginning containing One acre, more or less. And the said grantors hereby covenant that they have the right to convey the said real estate to the grantee, that the said grantees shall have quiet proprietors of said premises, that the said premises are free from all incumbrances and that they will warrant generally the property hereby conveyed. Witnesseth the following signatures and seals:

The foregoing deed bearing date on the 13th day of March, 1878 is acknowledged before and by John Hall and Polly his wife, separated and apart from each other, and the said Polly Hall, the wife of said grantor being examined by specifically and apart from her husband and having the aforesaid deed fully explained to her, declared that she has willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it.
