He married Clara, daughter of Christopher and Fannie Watson Rosenberger, on June 4, 1900. Jacob's parents are Levi and Mary Baker Painter. Jacob is buried at St. Johns. Clara was born April 15, 1882 and died January 7, 1966 in Mt. Jackson and is buried in St. Johns. Her obit listed one brother, Edgar Rosenberger of Edinburg.
