Mary Catherine Neff Thacker

Mary Catherine Neff Thacker, 73, of Strasburg died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 4, 2011 at Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg with Pastor Fred Mauck officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Thacker was born September 23, 1937 in Winchester, a daughter of the late Harry Neff and Ada Funkhouser Neff Miller. She was a homemaker, worked at various restaurants and was a personal caregiver to Katherine Mowery.

Surviving are three daughters, Helen Virginia Samuels of the home; Jo Ann McChesney of Edinburg and Roberta Lynn Kibler of Wardensville, WV; a son, Allen Wesley Kibler of Berkeley Springs, WV; a brother, Mickie Kline of Strasburg; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Courtney King and Kayson King, the love of her life. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Allen and Ralph Neff.

Pallbearers will be Allen Kibler, J.R. King, Robert Pangle, Wayne Willis, Dallas Pangle, Sr. and Dave Bolduc.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon to service time.
